Board certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization since 2013, Stephanie’s mission is to help employers navigate the complex and evolving legal landscape of the employment relationship, from developing policies and advising on day-to-day personnel issues to dealing with employee separations and defending against individual, class, and collective claims.  Companies routinely seek her expertise in regulatory agency and internal audits, claims, investigations, alternative dispute resolution and arbitration, state and federal compliance, corporate due diligence/mergers and acquisitions, pay equity, employee leaves and accommodations, employee claims concerning wages and hours, and employment discrimination, harassment, and retaliation.  Stephanie also provides counseling and advice regarding independent contractor relationships, employee privacy policies, workforce reductions, employee mobility and restrictive covenants, trade secrets, and whistleblowers.

Representative Experience

  • Defend regional dockets of employment-related claims, administrative charges, arbitrations, and lawsuits for Fortune 500 global industry leaders.

  • Provide outside counsel for private and publicly traded corporations with respect to workforce management and employee disputes, investigations, complaints, administrative charges, and state and federal lawsuits and appeals.
  • Develop and conduct training programs for executive management and human resources professionals.

  • Support small business and early-stage scaling companies, serving as employment practices advisor and counsel to executives and HR teams.

  • Monitor and advise on federal and state employment law-related legislation and regulations, including issues related to employee classifications and minimum wage compliance, leave requests, pregnancy, disability, and religious accommodations, employee mobility and non-compete agreements, sexual harassment, equal pay, workforce reductions, and employee privacy.​
