When Scott retired from the active practice of law, after 50 years, at the end of 2021, he reflected on the many phases of his career, highlighted by being among the first Texas lawyers to be Board Certified in Health Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and by his six years at Farrow-Gillespie Heath Wilmoth. Those six years had been the most satisfying of his career because of the collegiality of the firm and the opportunity for him to mentor their young and talented attorneys. Scott knew that he would miss those experiences so he has become Of Counsel to the firm and is available for consultation and mentoring, even though he is not actively engaging in other aspects of practicing law. He will be primarily working with Christopher Elam and Megan Legband, to handle the Firm’s healthcare and corporate matters.
